11Book no Mori Chuou (Kyobashi Library / Local Museum) Opened on December 4, 2022 (Sun)!

 

Here are some of the newly opened facilities.

Why don't you go once and experience the "space where you can experience the diversity of history and culture of Chuo-ku"!

Book no Mori Chuou is a complex facility with a Kyobashi Library and a local museum (free admission), as well as a multipurpose hall (1st floor) and a cafe (1st floor) rooftop garden (6th floor).

 

Location 1-13-14 Shintomi, Chuo-ku, 104-0041 (Opposite Sakuragawa Park across Shin-ohashi-dori St.)

    A 1-minute walk from Hatchobori Station Exit A3 on the Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line and JR Keiyo Line ★ 6-minute walk from Shin-Tomicho Station Exit 5 on the Tokyo Metro Yurakucho Line

           7 minutes walk from Takaramachi Station Exit A1 on the Toei Asakusa Line ★ Community Bus "Edo Bus" (North Circulation) Just a short walk from Hatchobori Station stop

 Opening hours: Monday to Saturday from 9:00 to 21:00 Sunday and public holidays from 9:00 to 17:00

               ※The local museum is subject to change temporarily. The opening hours of the exhibition room on the 2nd floor are different for each exhibition.

 Closed days: On the third Thursday, the year-end and New Year holidays (December 31-January 2) and other temporary closures for special arrangement and facility maintenance and inspection.

 

 12Chuo Ward Local Museum-A space where you can experience the diversity of history and culture of Chuo-ku

The Chuo Ward Folk Museum is a history museum located in "Honnomori Chuou".

It holds valuable cultural assets and historical materials from each era closely related to the ward, from the Edo era to the Showa era.

In the permanent exhibition room on the first floor, you can experience the diversity of the city's history and culture with a variety of digital exhibits along with real materials.

On the second floor, there is also a regional archive of the gallery space, a special exhibition dedicated to exploring the history of the region, and a library.
