The 25th Sakon Kanze Memorial Kanze Noh Theater

The 25th Sakon Kanze Memorial Kanze Noh Theater

The Kanze Noh Theater, which was built with the establishment of the Kanze-kai in 1900, serves as the base for the Kanze-ryu style. In 1972, he moved from Shin-Ogawa-cho (Omagari) in Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo to Shoto, Shibuya-ku, and worked day and night to pass on and develop classical performing arts. It was the spring of 2015 that the 43-year history in Shoto ended. We said goodbye to the familiar place of Shoto, Tokyo, and in April 2017, we relocated Shoto's cypress stage to Ginza 6-chome, Tokyo, and a new Noh theater based on history was born.
