Tsukuda Island Bon Preservation Society

"Tsukuda Island Bon" is a folk performing art designated as Intangible Folk Cultural Property by the Tokyo Metropolitan Board of Education on January 16, 1976.

Now that the few good things of the old days disappear naturally and lonely, we hope to pass on this venerable Bon Odori, which has been left by our ancestors, to future generations in order to preserve and pass on it forever.

  • Image : Singer on the tower

The singer on the turret sings a dance song with the beat of large Wadaiko, and a dancer who formed a circle will dance around the tower clockwise.

  • Image : large Wadaiko

The dance song is a "mouth style" in which the lyrics of the seventy-seven style are repeated with the same melody, and the monotonous and gentle melody is rich in the atmosphere of a Bon dance song.

  • Image : Lyrics of 'Autumn Seven Grass'

In the songs, various songs such as "Autumn Seven Grass", "Buddha memorial service", "Itoya's daughter", and "Mura exhaustion", are transmitted.
