Bank of Japan Main Building
Architecture designated as one of Tokyo's Top 50 architectural heritage
A Neo Baroque stone structure completed in 1896, it is designated as a National Important Cultural Property as a valuable Western-style building of Meiji period. It is said that the architect Kingo Tatsuno designed the National Bank of Belgium as a model. The structure is 3 floors above ground and 1 floor below ground by masonry brick, and is characterized by a solid design surrounding the surrounding area with a building.
