Hamarikyu Gardens is a daimyo garden representing the Edo period related to the Tokugawa Shogun family, and has been designated as a special scenic spot and a special historic site. Originally it was a falconry area for the Shogun family, but Tsunashige Tokugawa, Kofu feudal lord, worshiped from the fourth Shogun Ietsuna and became called the Shimoyashiki "Kofu Hamayashiki", and later in the era of the 6th Shogun Ienobu It became a separate residence of the Shogun family. The garden is equipped with the only "Shioiri Pond" in Tokyo that draws seawater, and two duck fields, and has a characteristic landscape that changes in taste due to the ebb of the tide. In the Meiji era, it was renamed "Hamarikyu" and used as a playground for the Imperial Family, and in 1952 it was designated as a special scenic spot and a special historic site. You can enjoy the seasonal nature and flying wild birds, and the scenery seen from "Nakajima no Ochiya" is a healing space that makes you forget the hustle and bustle of the city.
