Kabukiza (Selected in Hakkei, Chuo-ku, 1982)
Sohonyama Kabukiza Theater in Pearen Garden
Kabukiza was opened in 1889, named by Genichiro Fukuchi, president of the Tokyo Nichi-Nichi Shimbun (now the Mainichi Shimbun), who worked hard to write plays and develop theatrical culture. The current theater, which opened in April 2013, is a complex consisting of theaters and office towers equipped with state-of-the-art facilities while inheriting the appearance and interior view of the fourth Kabukiza Theater, which has been popular for many years. As a traditional Japanese performing art composed of music (song), dance (mai), and theater (buki), many famous actors are still competing for arts here today as Kabuki.
