Harumi Pier, Tokyo Port (Selected in 1982, Chuo-ku)

Since its opening in 1955, the Tokyo Port Harumi Wharf has been a vibrant international trading port close to the city center and as a gateway to the sea where ships enter and exit from countries around the world. Opened in 1991, the Harumi Passenger Ship Terminal is also home to the observation deck overlooking the Rainbow Bridge and the Tokyo Bay Area and the city center. Tokyo Minato matsuri is held every year in late May to commemorate the opening of the port of Tokyo.
