Monument of Sukiya-bashi Bridge
Monument to a bridge built over the outer moat
Sukiya Bridge was built as an outer wall of Edo Castle in 1629, and there was the famous Minamicho magistrate's office on the Yurakucho side of the bridge. After the Great Kanto Earthquake, it was replaced by a stone bridge with modern aesthetics and became popular as the entrance to Ginza. It was removed in 1958 due to landfill in outer moat. There is a monument engraved with Kazuo Kikuta's brush "Sukiyabashi here."
