poetry monument, a poet who worked for the Asahi Shimbun
Takuboku (1885-1912) worked for the Asahi Shimbun in Takiyamamachi, Kyobashi-ku from 1909 (1909) to 45, and about three years before he died at the age of 26. Takuboku, who spent most of his short life wandering, reminisced his hometown, continued to create while engaging in the work of a welfare clerk, and left many excellent songs of Nogo. On the site of the Asahi Shimbun, there is a poetry monument engraved with "The newspaper light of Takiyamamachi in Kyobashi."
