Willow monument that beautifully colored Ginza Brick Street

When the Ginza Brick Street was formed, pine, cherry blossoms, maple, etc. were planted as street trees, but they did not grow up due to the dust and died soon, and only willows took root. It was replanted in ginkgo in 1921, but there was a strong voice that regrets the taste of willows, and the "Tokyo March march" of "I miss the old Ginza willow" dominated the world and the row of willow trees revived, but it disappeared due to subsequent road expansion and fire. At present, Yanagi II of Ginza was raised by the efforts of the people of the city, and revived on Nishi-Ginza Street. It is also given and planted throughout the country.
