The site of Tokiwa Hashikado
Entrance that leads to Nikko-dochu and Oshu-dochu
It is an important outer gate leading to Ote-mon gate in front of Edo Castle, and now only the stone wall of Masugatamon remains. This gate was the exit of the Oshu Highway that passed through Asakusa and Senju, so it was also called "Asakusaguchi" and "Oteguchi", and was counted as one of the "Edo Five Exits". In 1928 (1928), it was designated as a nationally designated historic site.
