The site of Tokiwa Hashikado
The entrance leading to Nikko Road and Oshu Road
It is an important outer gate that leads to Ote-mon gate in front of Edo Castle, and now only the stone walls of Masugatamon remain. This gate was the exit of the Oshu Kaido, which passed through Asakusa and Senju, so it was also called "Asakusaguchi" or "Otaku", and was counted as one of the "Edo Goguchi". In 1928 (1928), it was designated as a National Historic Site.
