Traces of wells used by benevolent bamboo
At the time of Kanei (around 1640), the lower female bamboo of the Edo Great Temmacho Sakuma family (one theory is the Magome family) had a benevolent heart on a daily basis. One day, a visitor from Mt. Haguro, Dewa Province told me that he was an incarnation of Dainichi Nyorai, and this story spread throughout the city and many people came to worship bamboo. At present, a wooden statue of bamboo, a sink plate used, and a hand archive of lacquerware from Katsura Shoin (the mother of Tsunayoshi Godai), who had a strong religion in Take Dainichi Nyorai, are preserved in Shiba Shinkoin. In addition, a monument is built on the trace of a well that bamboo loves and the poor have formed a city.
