In the Edo period, it was called "Minato Inari" because it was located on the riverbank near Inari Bridge and was located in Minato, where ships from various countries enter and exit. In 1868 (1868), the G14 Tsukiji Foreign Settlement was opened, and it has been relocated to the present. Every January, a cold bathing tournament is held to pray for purification and sound health. Also, the Reitaisai festival will be held in May.
