The ruins of Takuminokami Asano residence
After the residence of the Asano family of Akaho clansman (Designated Cultural Property, capital)
In 1701, Banshu-Ako's feudal lord Takuminokami Asano, who was ordered to serve the imperial envoy in Genroku 14 (1701), was unable to withstand repeated shame, and finally suffered a blade wound to Kozukenosuke Kira in the corridors of Tononaka and Matsu. This is the next year, the attack of a 47 warrior led by Yoshio Kuranosuke Oishi, but today the site of the Asano family's Edo main residence, famous for "Chushingura", remains as a designated historic site in the capital.
