Two monuments that tell the history of telegraph’s founding

On September 19, 1869, the construction of a 32-kilometer telegraph line connecting the Yokohama Court and the Tsukiji Unshosho Office began, and operations began on December 25, 1869. This was Japan's first public communications and has played a major role in Civilization and enlightenment since then.
