The Keisen family was a family that served as a doctor of the Shogunate for generations, and it was only 21 years old when the fourth generation Hoshu participated in the translation work of "Dismantling Shinsho". Later he studied surgery on Zumberg and became a doctor of Edo shogunate. He was also familiar with foreign affairs, such as being ordered by Tokugawa 11th Shogun Ienari to investigate the Russian situation.
