Tsukiji Honganji
main hall is an ancient Indian-style stone structure (National Registered Tangible Cultural Property)
It is a temple directly under the direct control of Nishi Honganji Temple in Kyoto, which was founded in 1617 (1617). The original monk was near Yokoyamacho, but was burned down by the great fire of the Meiryaku era, and in 1679 (1679) Mido was completed in Tsukiji. The main hall, which was damaged by the Great Kanto Earthquake, was rebuilt in 1934 as an ancient Indian stone structure designed by Chuta Ito, and was designated as a National Important Cultural Property in 2014.
The main deity is a wooden standing statue of Amida Buddha,Prince Shotoku. On the precincts are Takeko Kujo poetry monument, Ako Yoshishi Shinroku Hazama Peace pagoda and Basho Kumon.
