In the past, the monument of the "Waterba" that supported Tsukishima (industrial zone) in the middle of the Meiji era

In the middle of the Meiji era, Tsukishima was booming as an industrial area, and it was necessary to ferry Tsukishima all night long. For this reason, in 1905, at the time of the Port Arthur Fall Celebration Party, volunteers from Kyobashi Ward opened a new ferryboat and named this place "Kachidoki no Watari" after the victory. This ferry was abolished in June 1940 at the same time as the completion of Kachidokibashi, and a stone monument is now built.
