Hotel for foreigners (image provided by Kyobashi Library) with a reputation for good scenery

Opened in 1868 (1868) at a foreign hotel built on the site of the warship train station. It has a wooden two-story building, a bell tower, and has 102 rooms. Equipped with an arch-type roof and balcony, there was a fireplace in each room, a ball-stitch and a dining room. It was unfortunately burned down by the Great Ginza Fire in 1872.
