Horibe Yasubei Takeyuki Monument
Monument of Ako Gishi who revenged
Ako Yoshishi and Yasubei Horibe lived in Mizutanicho at the time (now Hatchobori 1-chome) and was known as a master of kendo. In 1694 (1694), his bravery was transmitted throughout Edo during the revenge of the famous Takadanobababa, and was adopted by Yahee Horibe of the Asano family retainer, and participated in the raid of Kira House as one of the forty-seven men. In 1969, a stone monument was erected at the base of Kameshima Bridge by Hatchobori 1-chome Town Association.
