The bell of Kokumachi
The sound of a bell that rewarded people in Edo city (Designated Cultural Property, Tokyo)
It is a bell that rewarded the people of Edo Castle, and is said to have been installed in Kokumachi (currently near Nihonbashi Muromachi 4-chome) in the era of Hidetada, the second shogun.
Because there was Nagasakiya nearby, there is Kawayanagi saying, "The bell of Kokumachi can be heard to the Netherlands." It was rebuilt in 1711 (1711), and is now housed with a bell tower in Jisshi Park.
