Junichirou Tanizaki was born in Kakigara-cho, Nihonbashi-ku (now Nihonbashiningyocho) in 1886, and attended Sakamoto Hirone High School.
Until the middle of the Taisho era, Tanizaki brilliantly painted the fantasy world of indulgence and virtue, such as "Tattoo" and "Shonen", but from the late Taisho era, he devoted himself to traditional Japanese beauty, Opened a new state that makes use of the breath of dynasty literature in the present day. There are masterpieces such as "Shunkinsho", "Hosoyuki", and "Mother of Shosho Shigemoto".
