Genji Store Ruins
It became the stage of the story of 'Otomi and Yosaburo'.
The place name of "Genji-ten" was derived from the fact that the doctor Genya Okamoto lived here during the Edo period, and became a model for the Genji store in Kabuki "Yowajo Ukina Yokogushi". Genji was a medical officer of the Shogunate, and when Shogun Iemitsu got sick of smallpox, he was a famous doctor who quickly raised his name.
