Daikanonji Temple, Tetsuzo Bosatsu no kami
Buddha head, which is said to have been made during the Kamakura period
The iron bodhisattva head of Daikanonji is presumed to be from the Kamakura period and is made of cast iron with a total height of 170 cm and a surface width of 54 cm. It was originally located at Shin Kiyomizu-dera Temple in Kamakura, but was hit by a fire during the Kamakura period and only the head was dug out. After that, he left Kamakura due to the separation of Shinto and Buddha, and was enshrined at his current location in 1876 (1876). The book will be opened on the 11th and 17th of each month.
