Multi-Bronze sculpture (Tangible Cultural Property inhabitant of a ward) commemorating the tenth anniversary of the Great Kanto Earthquake
At 11:58 am on September 1, 1923, it was built on the tenth anniversary of collecting clean goods widely to commemorate the Great East Japan Earthquake that hit the entire Kanto area, mainly in Tokyo.
A bronze sculpture created by Seibo Kitamura, a master of the sculpture world, known as the creator of the Peace Statue in Nagasaki City. The pedestal is engraved with the words "Continuous preparations for an unexpected earthquake" selected by the Asahi Shimbun from all over the country, calling attention to not repeat this disaster. Another earthquake explanation board says, "Damage situation, dead 99,331 injured person 103,733 missing 43,476 burned houses 447,128 collapsed houses 154,499."
