At the Nihonbashi-Kyobashi Festival, many dance groups from all over the country, such as mikoshi and dances from various places, dance around Chuo-dori. This piece is a work that the performers of Awa Odori are performing just in the center of Nihonbashi. Every performance is amazing. We hope that the gorgeous festival, which is growing year by year, will continue for decades to come.

Comments on Judges

No matter what, the camera position in the center of the bridge is accurate. Against the background of Nihonbashi's symbol "Kirin Statue", it is good at creating screens aimed at dancers in kimono from the front, and light gestures seem to hear the light rhythm of Awa Odori, elevating feeling. You can also feel vitality from the dynamic screen configuration that makes use of the curves of the expressway.

I saw a poster of Bon Odori held at Hamacho Park and went there. There is no surprise to see such a grand Bon Odori in the middle of Tokyo. I attached a fisheye lens to the camera, put it on a tripod, lifted it up and shot it in a bird's-eye view. The dancer's yukata matched the blue sky of the Magic Hour, and it was a very beautiful scene.

Comments on Judges

Bon Odori in Hamacho Park surrounded by buildings. It seems that people dancing in yukata, surrounded by golden towers illuminated by the lights of Japanese lantern, can feel the relaxed and enjoyable flow of time of people gathering at dusk. It is also wonderful that the technique of shooting from high places with a camera on a tripod is successful, and the sense of scale throughout the park is well expressed.

On the evening of autumn day, Tokyo Tower and Mount Fuji were seen across the streets along the Sumida River. We have rediscovered a beautiful urban space.

It was filmed from St. Luke's Tower, how many times did you go? It is a work that has been completed with good conditions. Taking advantage of the selection of time zones where the brightness remains slightly in the sky at dusk and the curve of the Sumida River, we have created a large panorama scenery that clearly emerges the buildings lined up on both banks, even as far as Tokyo Tower and Mount Fuji.

We would like to thank you very much for your appreciation in the memorable fiscal year 2019. Pictures of Greek mythology are drawn on the ceiling and floor of the shooting location, and the splendor is expressed with a fisheye lens. Since the rays are different depending on the season, weather, and time, I went several times to meet a wonderful model.

It seems to be shooting at Harumi Triton Square. A large circular ceiling with a European-style painting and a spotlight inserted into the floor. It is a wonderful work with a wonderful sensibility that captures the woman illuminated by the light in a timely manner and makes use of the depiction characteristics of the ultra wide angle lens to create a dynamic screen composition.

This year, I shot Hakone Ekiden, where an enthusiastic battle was held, in Hashigami, Nihonbashi. It was very difficult to put a lot of enthusiastic supporters waving the flag and runners running too quickly on the screen, but it was good to be able to capture the hot atmosphere of the roadside and shoot it.

The annual Hakone Ekiden Day. The camera work that is sent to the cheering of the cheering people, and the runners running through Nihonbashi framing so that they jump out of the screen vigorously is outstanding. The energetic expression of the cheering people is well captured, and it is a work full of immersion.
