Bon Festival on Tsukuda Island (Intangible Folk Cultural Property designated by Tokyo)

September 22 (Mon) to September 23 (Tuesday/holiday), 2025

It is a traditional Bon dance that gently dances around the tower to the dance song.

Since the Edo period, Bon Odori has been performed in Tsukuda.
This Bon Odori has been continued to this day as an event for the memorial service and turn of unrelated Buddhas.

In accordance with the monotonous drum rhythm and dance song played under the lantern of the tower, there is sorrow and impermanence in the quaint dance that repeats the return and return.

Bon (Intangible Folk Cultural Property designated by Tokyo) on Tsukuda Island is a valuable folk performing art that retains the remnants of Edo.
